At 16 I worked as a blacksmith at Eliza Tinsley in old hill,me and 2 friends walked down to work the side of this house,One day we stopped to make a dam from a stream the back of this house,It took us hours ,so we had to stay away from work .next day we said we were all sick.

Pear Tree Cottage once owned by Sam Tibbettswho owned Joey the Goose who would follow him around along Blackheath High Street.
The property was divided into 3 for family members, one part being occupied by my Dad's uncle Luther who married May. May was my Grandma's sister.
