About Me

My grandmother was from Rowley Regis.  Her mother, Lizzie Tromans was married to Jessie Howard, a Grocer. They lived at 47 Rowley Village.  Lizzie's mother, Sarah Bridgwater was the second wife of Henry Tromans of the Kings Arms pub (and later married his son, Lizzie's father).

About Me

Born in Stuart Road, Throne Estate and lived there till I was 10. I then lived in various pubs in the borough untill I left to join the Police when I was 19. Served most of my time in Wolverhampton. Went to Rowley Regis Grammar school - both buildings. I watched the newer one being built and now it's gone!!!

I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in The History of the West Midlands @ the Universaity of Birmingham. That is what drew me to this web site which I find very useful and interesting. About Me

Hi my name is Jane. My maiden name was Jane Watson and I used to live in Newhall Road and later in Central Avenue. I used to go to Rowley Hall School in the 1956 and then to Powke Lane Junior School. I then went onto Siviters Lane School, left there in 1967. I remember when I was young playing over the quak, we used to silde down the banks on cardboard. Those were the days carefree and nothing to worry about. Is there anyone out there that remembers those great days. I would love to here from you.
