ROWLEY VILLAGE ROWLEY REGIS

About Me

I was born in Loveday Street hospital in Birmingham and returned to a house next door to the old Dun cow on Gorsty Hill. We moved to Uplands Avenue when I was about 3 years old and stayed there (first in number 4 then number 1) then we moved to Powke Lane when I was 14  My paternal grandparents lived at Bell End and owned Brinton Boilers in Blackheath.  My grandfather was Henry James (James Henry?) Brinton and my father was Reginald James Brinton.  I attended the Endowed Mission Hall and was a pupil at Rowley Regis Grammar School.
